Jan-11–2019 Vancouver — On January 16th, 2019 at block 7,080,000, approximately 5:00 PM PST based on current estimates, the Ethereum blockchain will undergo a hard fork to a new chain, implementing several significant upgrades to modernize and improve the scalability of the blockchain.
Constantinople is not a contentious fork for the Ethereum community and will not result in a new currency.
CoinField will be supporting the Constantinople fork. This fork is considered a non-contentious fork and thus will not generate a new coin or token type.
CoinField is prepared for the fork and we expect little to no interruption of our service for our customers, though switching over to the new fork may make ETH sends unavailable for a short time. We will be keeping our users updated via our Twitter channel.
